Pitcher, H McCallum, and C Doyle we are pleased to share our publication "Persistent organic pollutants and trace elements detected in New Zealand fur seals (long-nosed fur seal; Arctocephalus forsteri) from New South Wales, Australia, between 1998 and 2019" Highlights: * New Zealand fur seals (Arctocephalus forsteri) are vulnerable to environmental chemical pollution. * POPs and trace elements were analyzed in liver samples to identify pollution baseline of seals. * Adult males have highest burden of pollutants with possible significant health effects. * Priority chemicals for ongoing monitoring are identified to assess future changes in exposome. * Comprehensive health studies are required to effectively interpret chemical pollution impacts.
