H McCallum, and C Doyle we are pleased to share our publication "Persistent organic pollutants and trace elements detected in New Zealand fur seals (long-nosed fur seal; Arctocephalus forsteri) from New South Wales, Australia, between 1998 and 2019"

Highlights:

New Zealand fur seals (Arctocephalus forsteri) are vulnerable to environmental chemical pollution.
POPs and trace elements were analyzed in liver samples to identify pollution baseline of seals.
Adult males have highest burden of pollutants with possible significant health effects.
Priority chemicals for ongoing monitoring are identified to assess future changes in exposome.
Comprehensive health studies are required to effectively interpret chemical pollution impacts.
