New releases: Updated iPCoD models
We’re delighted to announce the release of two enhanced versions of the iPCoD (Interim Population Consequences of Disturbance) model: "iPCoD EE" and "iPCoD DEB”. These are updates/variations build on the established iPCoD framework to better quantify disturbance effects on marine mammal populations. * iPCoD EE (Expert Elicitation) models the direct impacts of disturbance and auditory injury demographic rates such as fecundity and survival - with new additional functionality. It’s available for harbour porpoises, bottlenose dolphins, grey and harbour seal and minke whales (N.B.: EE transfer functions have been updated for some species over time). * iPCoD DEB (Dynamic Energy Budget) incorporates state-of-the-art DEB theory to track how animals allocate energy between maintenance, growth, and reproduction under varying disturbance regimes.
