*The Southwest Fisheries Science Center is excited to announce we are recruiting for an ‘Omics Bioinformaticist (Biologist 0401)!* This position is for a bioinformaticist to use advanced ‘omics techniques (such as environmental DNA, epigenetics, close-kin mark-recapture, parentage-based tagging, and genomic sequencing) and computational data analysis to inform population characteristics, seasonal or interannual distribution, and abundance of fishery and protected species in large marine ecosystems and watersheds (marine and anadromous fish, invertebrates, mammals, and turtles). The successful applicant will collaborate with multiple investigators on a number of projects simultaneously, and develop generalized scripts and workflows to streamline the analysis of data across projects.
