A friendly reminder that the application for the Bridge to Ocean Acoustics and Technology (BOAT) workshop <https://boat-ocean-acoustics.github.io/> in New Orleans, USA will close on **March 21** at local midnight. The workshop will cover fundamental ocean acoustics topics that are important to marine mammal bioacoustics research -- passive acoustic monitoring of marine mammals and the soundscape, active acoustic mapping of marine mammal prey field using echosounder, toothed whale echolocation, etc. We will use Jupyter notebooks with interactive Python "widgets" to help participants develop physical intuitions about acoustics principles as well as key signal processing and statistical concepts, and immediately put them to use in hands-on exercises with real-world hydrophone and echosounder datasets.
