This is an appeal for references and contact information for US-based marine mammal website developers with experience developing and maintaining websites to communicate science to peers and factual information to the public. Such websites are increasingly essential to the cadre of marine mammal specialists in developing nations, but they may lack the financial resources to create adequate websites to communicate facts and issues in their local language, much less a more universal language such as English. As an experiment, Cetacean Society International wants to connect a website developer and language-appropriate translators with an established marine mammal science organization in Brazil, with a catch: All legitimate and normal costs to produce, translate and possibly maintain the website would be donated, offset by a tax deduction offered by CSI, a 501(c)3 organization. Please respond off list. Thank you, Bill William W.
