PASSIVE ACOUSTIC MONITORING: A PRACTICAL INTRODUCTION is a two day course which gives participants a strong grounding in key aspects of cetacean passive acoustic monitoring, including the capabilities and uses of PAMGuard (pamguard.org), the leading research and industry software. The latest release of the software will be taught in the course. The course includes how to configure PAM hardware and troubleshoot problems. Participants will have the opportunity to record and process real-time data. Different types of PAM surveys including some of the latest research methodologies are also discussed. PAMTech is a small UK-based company made up of PAMGuard developers and experienced field acousticians who can enable you to get the most out of PAM applications.
