New publication: “From Traits to Threats: A Global Assessment of Marine Mammal Vulnerability”. In this study, we assess the vulnerability of 125 marine mammal species to nine major threats using ecological traits and global data. We find that traits such as range size, age at maturity, body size, and dive depth strongly shape risk exposure. This trait-based approach helps identify overlooked species and provides a framework to guide more targeted and effective conservation efforts worldwide.
