During a survey around the Grand Banks of Newfoundland in late June, we saw a common dolphin (*Delphinus delphis) *with the number 73 painted on the peduncle at the base of the fluke (probably the left side). The number was made with white paint. The dolphin looked healthy and was in a group of around 5 other dolphins. Hopefully some of you may know where the marking came from!
