Some colleagues are attempting to quantify capture myopathy in dolphins (Common and Bottlenose) which become encircled by trawl nets. It would be very helpful if they were able to put a temporary mark on these dolphins without recourse to actually handling them or inserting a tag. Does anyone know of a suitable dye or other means which could be used for such marking? Your responses appreciated.
