Record of two humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) in the South western of the Gulf of Lion, Mediterranean Sea. Dear colleagues, On the 2nd of August 2012, at 10:30 a.m., 2 humpback whales have been visually observed in front of Cerbère, French Catalonia. This occurrence seems to be the first documented sighting of humpback whale in the French South western part of the Gulf of Lion,Mediterranean Sea.
