The incumbnet also develops and disseminates outreach and education materials related to marine mammal conservation and marine mammal programs; provides timely and comprehensive written and verbal responses to agency, Congressional, and media inquiries regarding marine mammals; acts as primary point of contact for Marine Mammal Branch in responding to media inquiries; develops and disseminates outreach and educational materials; initiates and fosters opportunities for intra- and inter-agency cooperation to enhance effectiveness of marine mammal conservation programs; reviews and provides input on national and regional scientific research and conservation activities affecting marine mammal populations.
