Hi All, Registration is now open for Fall 2026. The University of Florida Aquatic Animal Health Program is offering two fully online, three-credit courses: * Aquatic Wildlife Health * Aquatic Animal Conservation Issues Fall classes begin Thursday, August 20, and continue through Wednesday, December 2. Registration will remain open through Monday, August 24. Aquatic Wildlife Health is offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: * VME 4013: Undergraduate * VME 6011: Graduate This three-credit course introduces upper-level undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals with an associate degree or higher to the natural history, anatomy, physiology, behavior, and common health issues of aquatic species. Topics include whales and dolphins, seals and sea lions, manatees, sea turtles, crocodilians, fish, and invertebrates. Aquatic Animal Conservation Issues is also offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: * VME 4012: Undergraduate * VME 6010: Graduate This three-credit course examines controversial conservation issues affecting aquatic animals and ecosystems. Although the course emphasizes marine mammals, it also addresses sea turtles, fisheries, invertebrates, and broader marine ecosystem concerns. Participants do not need to be currently enrolled at a college or university to register. Eligible students and professionals may participate from within the United States or internationally. Students who wish to apply these credits toward a degree or academic program at another institution should consult with their home institution in advance to confirm whether the credits will be accepted and how they may apply to their program requirements.
