*ANNOUNCEMENT* *There are just TWO weeks left to get your standard registration for the African Bioacoustics Community (ABC) Conference*, taking place from 1st to 6 th September 2024 at The Breakwater Lodge, Cape Town, South Africa. As previously, the ABC Conference is of interest to marine mammal scientists and students, with an aim to focus on work around Africa. There is a great programme talks lined up for this year's conference* including a plenary on manatee communication* *by* *Dr Beth Brady*. The conference will end off with a full day *workshop hosted by Prof. Jennifer Miksis-Olds on the software MANTA* (Making Ambient Noise Trends Accessible). We are also hosting our *first ever hybrid conference*, so you will be able to attend online if you are not able to attend in person.
