Dear MARMAM Community, The 2018 International Workshop on Detection, Classification, Localization and Density Estimation of Marine Mammals using passive acoustics (DCLDE) will take place at Sorbonne University (www.sorbonne-universite.fr) in Paris, France, 4-8 June 2018. The program is now on line: http://sabiod.univ-tln.fr/DCLDE/ Monday, 2 tutorial sessions (full day, starting at 8:30am) on tools to observe marine mammals and to automatically extract features about their population and their marine environment: - Machine learning - Deep learning - Density estimation. We are very happy to combine science and art by inviting the famous choregrapher Camille Hanson (http://www.camillehanson.com/) to perform the Sacrifice of Giants during the banquet evening the 7th of June.
