Frontiers publishes cutting-edge interdisciplinary science, and prides itself on clear, accessible language and broad appeal to a diverse international audience. Frontiers' content is renowned for its value to scientists, resource managers, policy makers, teachers, students, and many others in applied science and conservation. Frontiers' editorial board members, also known as associate editors, serve as the journal's subject-matter experts. Their principal responsibilities are to assess manuscripts, assign reviewers to vet manuscripts deemed appropriate for review, and ultimately make recommendations to the editor-in-chief (EiC) based on their own assessment and the reviewers' comments.
