Dear all, we would like to inform that in july 2007 we perform a necropsy on a striped dolphin stranded at Asinara island (Sardinia). Gross pathology showed diffuse ulceration on the whole body, absence of significant lesions in other organs. Histopathology showed mild demyelination in CNS and microglial activation. IHC revealed positivity for morbillivirus antigen in CNS. Other lesion were rappresented by mild non suppurative pneumonitis and diffuse hepatic edema.
