Can the Camera Lie? A Nonpermanent Nick in a Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). Aquatic Mammals 43(2), 156-161. This note documents a dorsal fin nick on a bottlenose dolphin that seemingly appears and then disappears within a day. We discuss the possible causes and implications for those carrying out photo-id.
