NOAA Fisheries is proposing incidental take regulations, pursuant to the Marine Mammal Protection Act, to govern the incidental harassment of marine mammals related to the New England Wind Project (formerly Vineyard Wind South) within the Massachusetts Wind Energy Area and adjacent to the Rhode Island/Massachusetts Wind Energy Area. The public comment period will be open June 8-July 10, 2023.
