Title: Joint Cetacean Data Programme; developing a data community
JCDP background:
The Joint Cetacean Data Programme (JCDP) aims to better facilitate access to and use of effort-related cetacean survey data, by collating the growing
evidence-base from across the northeast Atlantic into a single accessible resource. The JCDP is a collaboration with partners from across the region, with representation from policy makers, academics, marine industry and NGOs. The JCDP encourages data collectors
to make standardised high-quality data more readily available to increase the value and enable development of data products to better inform research and policy.
