The vaquita is the world’s most endangered marine mammal, with an estimated 10-13 individuals surviving in the core zone. Make a note that International Save the Vaquita Day 2023 will be held on Saturday, 12 August, starting at 9 am (Pacific). It will be a virtual event, with a half-day live-stream of informative talks and video content. Some in-person booths will also be held at various venues in the US.
