I'm writing to share a job announcement for an Assessment Branch Chief in NOAA Fisheries' Office of Science and Technology (Assessment and Monitoring Division).

This is a supervisory position and the Assessment Branch currently includes 6 Federal Employees and 9 contractors. The Branch is composed of a
National Protected Species Science Program and a
National Fish Stock Assessment Program and focuses on a number of activities, such as
ocean acoustics, marine mammal stock assessments,
sea turtles,
corals,
protected species climate vulnerability assessments, implementation of a
Next Generation Stock Assessment Enterprise, the
Stock SMART web portal,
stock assessment prioritization,
stock assessment training, the
Fisheries Integrated Toolbox, and quantitative modeling; in particular the
Fisheries Integrated Modeling System.
