Dear marine mammal enthousiast,
I am proud to announce for the second and last time the 2008
Conference and AGM of the
European Cetacean Society. The 2008
Conference is to be organised in The Netherlands.
PLEASE take note of the following dates, more information is available
on the special web pages.
This time the conference will be early so all deadlines are early.
This saves you a lot of time and thinking, you will have to act now!
The Conference will be organised in The Netherlands (Hotel Zuiderduin
in Egmond aan Zee, familiar to some) in the week of 10-12
March 2008. Workshops will be set up in the weekend 8-9 March. The
main title is
MARINE
MAMMALS IN
TIME:
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.
Talk, poster presentation, video
presentation or workshop proposals have been reviewed:
- PAST -
palaeontology, archaeology, evolution, 16th-17th century whaling or
research (strandings),
- PRESENT - forgotten
science: lab and museum basic research, taxonomy, anatomy, 18-20th
century whaling and tourism,
- FUTURE - climate
change, effects on populations and food, monitor species.
