June 2007, the scientific team of MOm/Hellenic Society for the Study and
Protection of the monk seal installed a remote video surveillance system in a
pupping cave at the

the 2nd of October we managed to film the birth of a male
Mediterranean monk seal pup – this footage has now been posted on our website,
which is unfortunately for the time being, only in Greek. For those who want to
view this extraordinary event and other footage from within the cave, please
