'Sighting and Stranding Reports of Irrawaddy Dolphins (Orcaella brevirostris) and Dugongs (Dugong dugon) in Kep and Kampot, Cambodia'
SUMMARY:
The Cambodian Marine Mammal Conservation Project was established in September 2017 to fill Cambodian marine mammal knowledge gaps for the purposes of conservation. The current study provides initial sighting and occurrence records of Irrawaddy dolphins and dugongs in Cambodia's Kep and Kampot region. Additionally, regional marine mammal threats were identified, and an Irrawaddy dolphin photo-identification catalogue was created as part of ongoing survey work in the region.
