<>This position is in the Office of Protected Resources, Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Conservation Division. The incumbent will
coordinate and lead all aspects of the John H. Prescott Marine Mammal Rescue Assistance Grant Program in the
Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program. The incumbent will be responsible for drafting notices of availability
of funding opportunities, managing the technical and merit reviews overseeing approval of the grants, and monitoring activities of
grantees. The incumbent will be the Lead NOAA Official for Managing the Prescott Program. S/He serves as an integral
team member in the Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program, assisting and supporting team members with lead
responsibilities for coordinating marine mammal responses, responding to marine mammal stranding events, developing research
strategies and protocols, and working with the Working Group on Unusual Marine Mammal Mortality Events.<>
