SEAMAMMS 2007
First Announcement
The 15th Annual Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Marine Mammal Symposium
(SEAMAMMS) will be held March 16-18 2007 in Beaufort, North
Carolina. The meeting will be co-hosted by the Southeast Fisheries
Science Center (Beaufort Laboratory), North Carolina Maritime Museum and
Duke University Marine Laboratory.
SEAMAMMS provides a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate
students to present their research to a scientific audience. Awards
will be given for the best student oral and poster presentations.
The scientific program will consist of oral presentations, poster
sessions and workshops. There will be a reception on Friday night,
followed by presentations all day Saturday and Sunday morning.
Following a long-standing Beaufort tradition, a banquet will be held on
Saturday night, followed by a pub crawl...
The deadline to submit an abstract will be January 31st 2007.
Authors will be notified whether their abstracts have been accepted by
February 15th 2006. We will provide an electronic abstract
submission and registration process.
