We are recruiting two field assistants for the Sea Lion Project Galápagos, a long-term study of Galápagos sea lions led by Prof. Oliver Krüger at Bielefeld University.
Fieldwork will run from late October to mid-December 2026 on Caamaño, near Santa Cruz Island. Assistants will support population censuses, behavioural observations, animal handling, biologging, and sample collection under remote camping conditions.
The positions are unpaid, but project-related travel, food, and accommodation costs will be covered. We welcome applicants with experience in fieldwork, animal behaviour, marine biology, camping, or wildlife handling; Spanish is a plus.
