I am excited to share that the North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission (NAMMCO) is hosting the Marine Mammal Student Symposium 2025 on Thursday, 10 April 2025 in Tromsø, Norway. This year’s symposium will adopt a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend in person or virtually.

The theme for the 2025 symposium is “Exploring the Digital Deep: Technologies Shaping Marine Mammal Research and Management.” The event aims to connect students and early-career researchers in marine biology and the Law of the Sea, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on the intersection of technology, conservation, and policy-making.

We are currently inviting students and early-career professionals to join us, either as presenters or attendees. The symposium will feature keynote speakers, student presentations, and opportunities for networking and collaboration across disciplines.
