IWC Programme Officer

The IWC is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Programme Officer to support the development and implementation of IWC Work Programmes. The postholder will work across a range of cetacean conservation and welfare topic areas (for example underwater noise, whale watching, ship strikes, and marine debris)  and take the lead on projects of particular interest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work in an intergovernmental environment.

The successful applicant will have a university degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Science, Conservation or Zoology and knowledge of marine conservation and management issues and policies. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to engage with stakeholders from many fields and diverse cultural backgrounds. The postholder will have a high level of organisational skills and be fluent in English.

This post is advertised as a Full-Time position (37.5 hours per week)
