SEAMAMMS: Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Marine Mammal Symposium

The Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Marine Mammal Symposium will be held at Coastal Carolina University from Friday, March 23 to Sunday, March 25, 2018. SEAMAMMS is a regional, scientific marine mammal meeting that is open to all presenters and is very student-oriented. Preference will be given to marine mammal research conducted in the mid-Atlantic and southeast US or conducted by students and researchers based in the same region. Other topics will be considered as space is available.  The deadline for abstract submissions is February 12 (midnight).  You may register for the conference at any time, but the early registration deadline is March 1.

 

This year’s keynote address will be by the Smithsonian Institution’s new Curator of Marine Mammals, Dr. Michael McGowen, entitled, “The Evolution of Cetaceans: Phylogenomics, Morphology, and Comparative Biology
