We have started an online photo-id catalogue mostly based on pictures taken by amateurs (see http://azoresphotoid.blogspot.com/). The goal is to tap on the increasing number of quality photos taken by tourists, fisherman, etc, and to put them to the service of cetacean research. We would like to know about similar projects elsewhere in the world. If you know about an online catalogue or repository of photo-id images of cetaceans, please let us know. We will post a summary of the replies.
