We are currently accepting applications for our 2019 CRRU summer research courses in northeast Scotland.

Our formal courses have been running since 1999 and take place over 12 very full, educational and activity-packed days. During your stay with the team, you will learn and apply the principles of cetacean field research design (accompanied by structured lectures/workshops and practical field training), undertake training in marine mammal rescue techniques and gain a personal understanding of the conservation issues which drive the CRRU's research, rescue and conservation activities.

Course costs in 2019 are 1,250 GBPs, which includes all tuition modules and demonstrations, full board (all your accommodation and food costs), your full equipment needs for field work, and all boat survey trips and outings during your stay with the team. You'll simply need to arrange your own travel itinerary to Banff in Aberdeenshire (nearest airport Dyce, Aberdeen, approx. 1½ hours from the field base by coach), plus any personal spending money

Team II:  Sun 9 Jun - Fri 21 Jun

Team III: Sun 30 Jun - Fri 12 Jul

Team IV: Sun 21 Jul - Fri 2 Aug (FULL)

Team V: Sun 11 Aug - Fri 23 Aug 

Team VI: Sun 1 Sep - Fri 13 Sep 

Team VII: Sun 22 Sep - Fri 4 Oct
