Modern marine mammal research increasingly relies on movement datasets from satellite tags, biologgers, GPS devices, and acoustic telemetry. This course provides practical training in analysing animal movement data using the movement ecology framework, combining ecological theory with hands-on analysis in R.
Participants will learn how to extract ecological insights from tracking data, quantify spatial behaviour, and model interactions between animals and their environment.
