the Seal Rehabilitation
and Research Centre (SRRC)
The
SRRC Lenie ‘t Hart is a
non-profit organisation which has been engaged over the past 40
years in rescue
and rehabilitation of seals requiring help. Annually
approximately 400 seals
are given shelter which - after recovery - are being released
back into their
natural habitat. Beside this scientific research is carried out
on problems
that seals are experiencing in their natural habitat. The team
of the SRRC is
formed by employees, volunteers and trainees from countries all
over the world.
The SRRC is ISO certified and operates as a professionally
facilitated seal
hospital. For our seal care department we seek a:
-
managing
the seal care
department
-
coordinating
the daily
activities and procedures
-
direct
employees, volunteers
and trainees in seal care department
-
producing
the labour schedule
and seeing to a sufficient number of employees/volunteers
-
supervise
that the hygiene-
and seal care protocols are being followed
-
coordinating
transport for
the seals
-
consultation
with
veterinarian and head nurses
-
member
of Management team and
be part off staff and management meetings
-
you
have completed a higher
education/studies in animal care
-
you
have work experience in a
managerial job for some years preferably in an organisation
caring for animals
-
you
write and speak fluently
in Dutch (preferably) and English
-
you
are proficient with the
most common software applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
-
You
have a driving licence
-
excellent
coaching skills
-
excellent
communicative
skills
-
flexible
attitude
-
you
are in good health and
are able to carry out physical
labour
-
able
to deal with hectic and
stressful situations
