As many of you know, Dr. Sherrie Eldridge and colleagues undertook a remarkable study of somatosensory innervation in the skin of humpback whales when a PhD student at U Mass Dartmouth, USA. There is a posthumous publication reporting some of that work, https://doi.org/10.1002/ar.24856. She had delayed publication of her dissertation until it was published as papers.
