Dear colleagues,
I am writing to raise your attention that IUCN is currently looking for an expert in whale feeding ecology to join the IUCN’s Western Gray Whale Advisory Panel (WGWAP) as Member.
The full IUCN’s Call for Applications can be found at
https://hrms.iucn.org/iresy/index.cfm?event=vac.offline.download&offline_vacancy_id=1546.
The deadline for applications is
Wednesday, 27 March 2019; the application form in Word format is attached.
The expert in feeding ecology is expected to join a team of scientists recently selected to serve on the WGWAP for the period of 2019-2021 (a separate announcement to follow
in due course).
WGWAP is managed by IUCN as an independent advisory body of scientists and chaired by Dr Randall Reeves. The overall goal of the WGWAP is to provide objective independent advice
on the conservation of western gray whales with a focus on those that feed off Sakhalin, in the Russian Far East.
For more information on the Panel’s work, please see
www.iucn.org/wgwap.
Kind regards,
Anete
