Dyer Island Cruises is an ecotourism company based in Gansbaai, South Africa which offers whale watching

tours from July to December and eco-tours the rest of the year. We are a Fair Trade certified company and also

highly involved in research and conservation.

We are looking for an Intern helping out on our whale watching vessel ‘Dream Catcher’ for the period of July –

September 2016, your main duties/responsibilities will be:

 help with guiding whale watching tours

 help to collect scientific data

 taking trip videos/photos

 updating/writing daily blog

 general crew work on the boat

Qualifications/Skills

 fluent in English

 experience working on boats

 interest in conservation and marine wildlife (especially whales)

 experience with Microsoft Office and editing programs such as Picasa

 good people skills
